The T-Shirt Dress: your ultimate throw on & go summer staple

For everyday multitasking, comfort is absolute key. But you needn't sacrifice looking put together and on trend in order to achieve this.

Minimalism has been going strong these past few seasons, and simple t-shirts, in oversized silhouettes reminiscent of the 90's, are very much a key piece in the SS2021 capsule wardrobe. They have been seen paired with jeans, slip midi skirts, wide leg pants & cycling shorts.

Their natural extension? The T-shirt dress - and while being completely effortless and comfortable, it ties in perfectly with this minimalist oversized trend.

Add one of the season's options in flat sandals (which I covered here a couple of editions ago), and a pair of chubby gold hoops and you're good to go!

Depending on you personal preference, keep it chic in neutrals or classic stripes; or embrace this season's fashion colour explosion and choose bold green or pink.

For accessible high street options, you need look no further that M&S, who have plenty of options in pure cotton, so you know the quality will be good too - when a piece is simple, the quality needs to be good to make it work best!

Where to start with your Style

  • Really understanding your Style, and
  • What best flatters your shape,
  • What works in practical terms for your lifestyle,
  • Which colours make you look most radiant,
  • And how to build a well thought out, hardwroking wardrobe -

- These are all important elements of being a 'well dressed woman': feeling stytlsh & put together, and really feeling amazing in your clothes.

But with so much to consider, where to start?

Knowing your colours, knowing how to declutter your wardrobe, having a list of the basics that 'every wardrobe shouild have', knowing how to shop efficiently - none of these things will really have an impact on making your daily dressing easier - unless you firstly clarify two very important elements:

  • Your Body Shape, scale & proportions, and
  • Your Style Personality

You need to think about your body's shape both horizontally & vertically, and what the impact of this is.
You also need to consider your proportions & overall scale, because these too will impact how clothes look on you.

You also need to explore your Style Personality, or personal/signature style, so that you can navigate trends & build confidence in your choices around chosing clothes & putting outfits together.

All of these elements are covered in great detail & depth in a Style & Image Consultation.

You will receive a 50-page Style Guide, which is not only fully illustrated to allow you to learn visually as I explain various concepts to you; but this guide is also fully customised to:

  • your shape
  • your proportions
  • your areas of concern
  • your height & scale
  • your Style Personality

This is an indispensible  reference in thinking about your clothes, shopping, creating a wardrobe, and putting outfits together.

This guide forms the basis of our Consultation - which includes 3 hours one-to-one Private Consultation - so you get all the answers you want& all the direction you need.

You also get a quick reference Summary Guide, as well as follow up styling notes & recommendations.

Here's what my client's say:

'Thanks again for your excellent consultation; it has been incredible the amount of time I’ve wasted looking at what might be good on me. I started going through some online and it’s amazing the amount you can’t just bypass. I genuinely can’t wait to get buying and creating a capsule wardrobe.'

'This consultation will save you endless hours of crappy scrolling about what might look good on you or might not. By the end of the consultation you will walk away with clear ideas and knowledge about what suits your style and body shape.'

'Breeda has endless knowledge on style, clothing design and clothing material again a key point when choosing clothes to suit your body.'

'I would highly recommend Breeda so if your thinking about it  don’t hesitate anymore and do it for yourself you won’t regret it I certainly gained great insight and am looking forward to shopping for what I know will look good on me.'
