Why do you need to think about staple pieces, that reflect your personality, work with your lifestyle, and are in your best color palette?

Because this is how you build a Capsule Wardrobe

You take the key ingredients, which, are your wardrobe staples and basic pieces, and then you create multiple different items outfits, using these same items.

Here, I've taken a fitted navy blazer, and these great skinny flare jeans (nothing will make your legs look better that fit & flare jeans in a dark wash) from Mango in this gorgeous indigo wash. Both basic staples in many wardrobes, and which give huge versatility in creating multiple outfits.

Here I've taken just a few different tops to show you how you can create different outfits that work in different situations, within your lifestyle. So, for now when it’s still cold out, you can take a knit in either a neutral or an ‘on trend’ colour (this ‘Bottega’ green as is widely referred to as, is practically a neutral at this stage!).

For work where it could be a satin blouse, and for weekend wear it could be a plain white or striped tee.

Then just add your footwear, depending on the situation, a few accessories, and you're good to go!

The majority of my personal shopping clients now are women who are working from home, or have a hybrid working from home / in the office situation. The lines have become blurred and so too has the dress code, with a smart casual dress code now being the norm in many office situations.

When you pair a navy blazer with navy or dark indigo jeans, you achieve the same effect visually as a suit: you get that same put together, cohesive, chic result, so the outfit feels quite ‘formal’ and appropriate, yet comfortable, practical & a little more authentic to your true style personality.
